David Coeshall - East Berkshire College

East Berkshire Further Education  Corporation -

Belives the the new development will athestically be an improvement on the existing old buildings and decaying nature of the nissen huts that were temporary structures when originally built in the 1950's.

This may be the case but will the planned building be of a modern standard in keeping with the surrounding buildings and nature of the area. Will the planners recognise the problems of added traffic and parking in an already congessted area.

The New Plans Include

The external and internal refurbishment of Boyn Hill House

The demolition of two Nissen huts and 'C' Block

Construction of a 3,000 square/metre fully equipped educational building

Car parking for 117 cars

Landscaping, including the retention of all existing trees

Construction of a new boundary wall

Demolition of the remaining two buildings including the tower block, with a view to selling the land to a developer.
