WIP organizes a biennial World Congress, promotes educational conferences and practical workshops for pain specalists throughout its network of WIP Sections, publishes the official journal of Pain Practice, administers the Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP) certification examination for physicians, and recognizes pain centers of excellence through its international Excellence in Pain Practice (EPP) recognition program.
